The adding of a 10% service fee is normal in the Caribbean, however, as we do not charge this, tipping of our excellent housekeeper, Greta, is appropriate.

When you have decided to book please contact us immediately to ascertain if the dates required are still available. To make a firm booking a cheque or money order made payable to BEACHSIDE PROPERTIES for 25% of the rent is required as a deposit, the balance becoming due 6 weeks before the date of the holiday. The reason for this is the difficulty of obtaining flights to the Caribbean at short notice should rebooking become necessary.

It is strongly advised that you book your flights at the same time as booking with us. Let us know if we can be of assistance.

Please Note - Young Children
We do not take children under 10 yrs. old as we do not consider the balcony or the pool as safe environments. The Balcony is on the first floor and the wall is adult sit on height - an adventurous toddler could climb it, also the pool has its own inherent dangers.

Flights
The International Airport in the south makes travel to Grenada very easy. Contact your favorite airline or travel agent.

Transfers and Car Hire

On arrival in Grenada you will be met by Ashley Church (Sunshine Tours)and taken to Owl Cottage free of charge. Ashley also offers Car hire and very good 'Island Tours' at competitive prices - both of which can be booked in advance. If you want to drive, you will need to present your own driving license to obtain a local one for $40 E.C. When you rent a car from Ashley he will make the necessary arrangements for you. Greta will be at the house to show you round and give you the keys.

There is a $50 E.C. p.p. Airport Departure Tax on leaving Grenada.

Enjoy our excellent Maid/Cook and 5 nearby Restaurants

Greta, our maid, arrives early enough to cook breakfast, serves lunch and will prepare an evening meal if wished. A small supply of groceries can be purchased for your arrival.

There are all types of restaurants, including French, Italian, Chinese and of course many local ones serving international and 'local' dishes with fresh lobster high on the list. Within walking distance of Owl Cottage you will find the following restaurants:- Red Crab, Choo Light (Chinese), Kudos and the Boatyard (+ mini-market). Along 'our' beach, the Calabash Hotel for that special' celebration. The 'Aquarium' beach restaurant at Point Saline, and the Beach House are 'musts' for either lunches or evening meals.

There are very good super-markets with some things such as imported tinned foods and meat more expensive than in the UK or USA but other things such as local fish, fruit and all spirits much cheaper.
